Before
After

This buffet was passed down from my grandparents, then to my parents and then to me. I have had it for 36 years.

Before and After of vintage wooden high chair

vintage country cabinet/shelf unit with heart doors transformed and updated – great for jewelry or lingerie

Before and after of wicker seat bar stool – I used Amy Howard lacquer spay for the wicker seat and chalk paint for the rest of the chair

Refurbishing a Quilt rack. Painted and distressed antique white and then clear and dark waxed it.

Before of nightstand

After of Nightstand – painted Sherwin Williams Essential Gray, clear waxed and then waxed with a little bit of black to give it that tinted black glaze effect

Room divider panels – refurbished to go in the men’s bathroom for privacy walls

Old desk refurbished for my granddaughter. The picture of the cat was from a card I had saved from my childhood. I used stencils to put on the alphabet, numbers and for the chevron design in the inside of the desk.

Before picture of nightstand

Here you can see the map decoupage and the map drawer knobs. This was before the antiquing glaze.

This shows the process of rubbing on the antiquing glaze.

The nightstand completed and in the shop

Before picture of antique chair

This shows some damage to one of the arms that had to be worked on.

The antique white and distressing really showed up the intricate designs.

The finished project. This is used as a photography prop for my daughter’s business. She loves it now!

One end of the vanity had a piece missing that my husband had to fix.

Picture of finished vanity

Before pics of antique full size bed

This is the back of the headboard. It was badly damaged and had to be sanded and scraped to get it smooth.

I love the flower border on the bottom of the footboard.

The bed was painted in two shades of gray.

A design was stenciled on the headboard.

The finished bed in my daughter’s home. She decided to buy it after she saw it in my shop. Look how well it matches her stenciled floor which I did a while back.

twin size bed made into bench

This is with the cushion and pillows. It didn’t stay in the shop for long.

Another bench made from a full size bed. The new parts added were stained to match and lots of coats of varnish were added to protect and bring out the beauty of the wood.

The finished bench with the cushions.

Before pic of cane back chair

After pic of cane back chair – painted two tone w/ blue and black and antiqued w/ black glaze. Has beautiful quilted look fabric.

Old door from our restaurant

I wanted to experiment with a streaking (dry brushing) kind of method.

This is a picture of the dark waxing. I first put on the clear wax.

I’m using the finished door in my shop to hang some of my handmade signs.

This is the before picture of the glass coffee table.

A piece of wood was inserted by my husband to make it into a shadow box table

I painted the table all one color – sea salt and then painted some parts grey.

Now it has been distressed. See some of the sea salt color showing through.

The finished piece: A wonderful shadow box table that you can display your favorite treasures. I’m going to use this in my workshop for a while.

before pic of vintage cabinet

After pic of vintage cabinet – I’m using this in my workshop to store paint and craft items. I painted it two shades of coral.

before pic of desk

after pic of desk – I painted it, distressed it lightly and then put polycrylic.

Collage of 4 refurbished chairs – Had to sand the bad areas and replace some screws, then painted, distressed, and clear waxed and reupholstered the cushions.
